Black Melanoid Axolotl
The Black Melanoid Axolotl can easily be mistaken for a wild type due to their similiar appearance. They appear dark in colour with a light underbody. They also change their appearance depending on the substrate colour. If they are kept in an aquarium with light colour or no gravel their appearance will be washed out with the pink gills. This colour will change very quickly when shifted to a different environment.
